1. Launch Discord either from your browser or the desktop app.


2. On the left-hand side panel, select the server that you want to invite someone to.
   


3. Right-click on the channel and a pop-up menu will appear. Select Invite People from this menu and a window will pop up with an invitation link. You can also click on the Invite People icon to the right of the channel name.
   


4. At the bottom-right corner of the window, click Link Settings (the gear). Here, you’ll be able to choose from the following options:
   
   
   
   • Expire After: Choose when you want the invite link to expire.
   
   
   • Max Number of Uses: Limit the number of people you want to be able to use the link.
   
   
   • Grant Temporary Membership: Give temporary membership to users. Once they leave the server, they cannot rejoin without another invite.
     
   
   
   
   


5. Once you’re done with the settings, click Generate a New Link.
   


6. Click Copy to save the invitation link to your clipboard.

Mobile Instructions

Inviting someone to a Discord server on a mobile device is nearly the same as doing so on a desktop. Just follow these steps to get started:

1. Launch the Discord app on your iOS or Android device and login to your account.
   


2. At the top-left of the screen, tap the three vertically stacked, horizontal lines. This will open up your server list on the left-hand side of the screen.
   


3. Tap on the server icon and a list of all the text and voice channels of that server will appear
   


4. Tap the Invite Members icon just below the server name.
   


5. Tapthe name of the person you want to invite.
   


6. Or copy the link to be dispensed as you see fit.
